New York, August 8, 2006 –

OAN – You went overnight from anonymity to being famous. How are you coping with that?
Jared Kushner– “Well, it’s more than I expected, but I’m very excited about being involved with The New York Observer, and getting involved with running a newspaper.”

OAN – How has your day-to-day life changed? You have reporters hounding you, television appearances.
JK– “Oh, that’s just temporary. After last week I… you know, this week it’s been a lot better. We’re just getting to business, you know, we’re working 20-hour days over at the paper; working on coming up with a lot of new ideas. And over the next months we should launch some very exciting things.”

OAN – Like what? Can you give me an idea?
JK– “Well, you’ll have to get a subscription and you’ll be fully informed.”

OAN – Do you have women throwing themselves at you? Do you have brokers calling you to invest money? Are you inundated with offers?
JK – “There’s been a lot of very interesting inquiries from all over the planet, needless to say, from as far as China to New York City. But it’s been very interesting and exciting. A lot of people are sending congratulatory notes saying it’s very exciting a 25-year-old is doing these things, and a lot of people offering words of encouragement and words of support. So it’s been very nice.”

OAN – Two premieres in two nights. Are you bumping up The Observer’s party profile?
JK – “No. These are events that The Observer does, and I’m excited to be a part of. This is exciting stuff, and we’re happy to be involved with it, and you know, we’re grateful to be affiliated with IFC, and last night Fox Searchlight. And we’ve got a lot of exciting events and features that we’re going to be rolling out, and this is just some of the many things that we’re doing.”

OAN – But this is more than The Observer normally does – two back-to-back movie premieres. I’m impressed.

JK– “Good scheduling."

OAN – Are you considering buying other media properties?
JK – “Well, right now I have my hands full with school, with my real estate investing activities, and with The New York Observer, but as time goes on, who knows.”

OAN – What about AOL? Why not buy them?
JK – “It’s a little bit out of my price range at this point.”

OAN – You are so busy. What about your personal life? Do you have time to pursue hobbies like cooking or playing golf or anything else you enjoy?
JK – “I still have time to exercise, and just try to keep up with things. It’s a lot of very exciting things, but thankfully everything I’m doing is a lot of fun and I’ve been given a great opportunity to do it. So I’m going to attack it with a full heart and full energy.”
